"How-to" for using Directory.coop

Here is a quick guide on how to use the new directory.coop website:

Find a listing:

To find your member listing, you can search BY DESTINATION or BY BUSINESS.

• If searching BY DESTINATION, destinations that contain member entries will appear below in the blue text bubble. Click on the drop-down of destinations to be brought to a magnified map. Member listings will appear to the left.



• If searching BY BUSINESS, type your organization's information in the text boxes and click on FIND. (For the broadest search, be sure that all three tick boxes; name, keywords, description are all selected.) Member listings will appear to the left



• All .coop customers are listed in the dotCoop directory provided their .coop name resolves to a live website. "Resolving" means that when you enter your domain ((http://www.yourdomain.COOP), into your web browser such as MS Internet Explorer or Firefox, it displays a website. If an error is displayed when entered, then your domain is not resolving. If you have questions about how to make your site resolve, your domain registrar can provide further details. They can verify that you have the correct Nameservers to activate your domain and if you need to set up certain Address or CNAME records to get your domain to be active.



• If your .coop domain resolves and you still cannot find your member listing in the dotCoop directory, please contact us.

Claim a listing:

So, you've found your member listing on the right side. Great! Click on your listing to view your business card, and click on the claim this listing link. An email with your login details will be sent to the email address provided in your WhoIs data - that would be the email address provided when your registered your domain.

Update a listing

Check your email to receive your customer and access your account by using the login link on the top right side of the dotCoop directory page. Need to verify placement

Once logged into your account, you have many options for customization. You may:

• Change your contact information
• Edit your map location destination
• Update your logo
• Add a video or photo
• Link your listing to your website
• Distribute your the Dotcoop widget to third-parties
